Day 1: Fri 23 Dec. Delhi – Bikaner (445 kms): Team meets at Mandi House late evening. Reach Bikaner by early morning.

Day 2: Sat 24 Dec. Explore Bikaner: After getting fresh and having breakfast explore Bikaner – the desert city carved out from red sandstone. Start the day with visit to Karni Mata’s temple which is 30 kms outside the city. The next stop will be colossal Junagarh fort and Lallgarh Palace. Evening will be spent exploring the local market and shopping for things Bikaner is famous for like leather products – wallets, bags and footwears; shawls and stoles made of camel wool; Bikaneri bhujia and rasgullas. Day 3: Sun 25 Dec. Bikaner – Jaisalmer (331 kms): Start early morning for Jaisalmer. Reach by late noon. Enjoy the guided sightseeing tour covering Jaisalmer Fort – also known as “Sonar Qila”, Patwon ki Haveli – the biggest and most sophisticated haveli having fine mirror work, Salim Singh ki Haveli – built 300 years ago by Salim Singh. Later visit the Gadisar Lake. Earlier it was the major source of water for the entire town. Now numerous species of birds can be found around it. Night stay at hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 4: Mon 26 Dec. Jaisalmer – Khuri (45 kms): Leave for Village Khuri. On the way visit Jain temple, Kuldhara – a ghost village, Khaba fort – a fascinating fort in Jaisalmer that was once inhabited by the Paliwals and was suddenly deserted for mysterious reasons. The fort still has the ruins of the homes of some 80 families that used to live here more than 200 years ago. Next would be Desert National Park – one of the largest national parks, covering an area of 3162 km. This place attracts large hoard of migratory birds that include the Great Indian Bustard and the Chinkara. Check in home stay by evening that will introduce you to the village life in the Thar Desert. Spend an evening enjoying folk dance and music. Night stay at Home stay in Khuri.

Day 5: Tue 27 Dec. Camel Safari in Khuri: After a relaxed morning in the village, get ready to experience a day of Nomadic Life of Thar. Post lunch, Camel caravan will take us to the core of desert. Witness mesmerizing sunset and spend night in the dunes under open sky. A dinner of bajre-ki-roti with a simple vegetable and dal is followed by a night under the stars. Like at high altitude, the desert offers an ideal setting for star gazing. If you have a good camera, you could even set it up long enough to capture the entire star spiral for the night.Night stay in Khuri Sand Dunes under the open sky.

Day 6: Wed 28 Dec. Khuri – Udaipur (390 kms): Start early morning to Udaipur. On arrival Udaipur check into hotel, evening at leisure. Night stay in hotel in Udaipur

Day 7: Thu 29 Dec., Explore Udaipur: After breakfast get ready to explore Udaipur. Main attraction is the City Palace, a majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake on a hill surrounded by crenellated walls. Jagdish Temple, this is an Indo-Aryan temple and is the largest and most beautiful temple of Udaipur. Saheliyon-ki-bari, is a small ornamented garden was built for royal ladies to stroll. Pichhola Lake is surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. Two island palaces, Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas are of breathtaking magnificence. Sajjan Garh dominates the city’s skyline. It offers a panoramic overview of the city’s lakes, palaces and the surrounding countryside.

Day 8: Fri 30 Dec, Udaipur – Kumbalgarh: About 90 Kms from Udaipur, is one of the biggest forts in the Mewar area of Rajasthan. It was built by Rana Kumbha in the 14th century to protect Mewar against the Mughal invaders. The fort’s claim to fame lies in its 36 Km long wall, which is said to be the second largest after the Great Wall of China. Night stay at hotel in Kumbalgarh.

Day 9: Sat 31 Dec Kumbhalgarh – Pushkar (231 kms): After breakfast start journey to the tranquil town of Pushkar. It is a captivating little town that pulsates with life. The scent of dhoop (incense), sound of chants and ringing bells welcome you to this holy hamlet. Walk through the lanes, its bazaars, the Ghats and the desert ground to discover the magic of Pushkar. It’s famous for the only temple of Lord Brahma and is a heaven for foodies. Spend evening enjoying the mesmerizing sunset over the lake. Night stay at hotel in Pushkar.

Day 10: Sun. 1 Jan 2017 Pushkar – Delhi (400 kms): Wake up early to conclude journey of a lifetime. Singing along and talking along the most memorable moments, reach Delhi by late evening.
